Applications and nominations are invited for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor of Homiletics to teach in all degree programs of the Theological School of Drew University.  Applicants must have completed an advanced degree either in Homiletics or a related field with demonstrated expertise in the field of Homiletics.  Candidate must show evidence of excellence in teaching and preaching and promise of publications in the field.  Previous teaching/preaching experience with diverse populations is essential.  Applicants must submit a cover letter, CV, and a statement of philosophy of teaching that addresses the complexities of teaching in a diverse classroom.  Ordination and congregational experience are required for this position, but denominational affiliation is open.  The Theological School is a seminary affiliated with the United Methodist Church.  The committee will begin reviewing files on June 1.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.  Candidates are requested to send applications electronically to HR0213-3@drew.edu with the subject line indicating “Homiletics Search Committee.”
