Drew University, a selective liberal arts college in northern New Jersey seeks a highly-motivated, detail oriented, self-starter for a 12-month position Assistant Director of Admission for the College of Liberal Arts.  This position is a salaried, exempt level position and reports to the Associate Director of College Admissions.

The successful candidate must have superior customer service experience and must be capable of working under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.  Key responsibilities include all aspects of the college recruitment process, including managing the application funnel and generating applications from prospects.  Candidate will also be responsible for visiting schools, attending college fairs, managing all aspects of recruitment territories, travel scheduling and planning, meeting with students, parents and guidance counselors, representing Drew at on and off campus events, reviewing applications for admission.  Responsibilities also include conducting interviews, campus tours, information sessions, and participating in email outreach and phone call campaigns, participating in special events and other projects as assigned.

This position requires extensive travel, as well as working evening and weekend hours as assigned.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have 3 – 5 years of experience in the field of college admissions and/or college counseling, preferably in a liberal arts environment.  Candidate must have an understanding of higher education, and specifically the value of a liberal arts education.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills.  Must have excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to effectively plan.  Must be able to prioritize work and manage projects skillfully.

Candidate should have a high level of energy and the willingness to work as part of a team.  Must have proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office and Gmail.

Experience with Banner BRM or Datatel Recruiter and Workflow software is preferred.

A valid NJ driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
