The Office of College Admissions at Drew University is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support summer term admission and program activities. In addition, this position will provide administrative support to staff enrolling transfer students. This is a 12 month full-time hourly position where the focus of tasks will vary depending on the time of year. Tasks will include providing administrative and clerical support of summer term administration, events planning, and college application processing.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will maintain day-to-day office operations and support the Director of Transfer and Continuing Education as needed. Principal responsibilities include serving as a key point of contact for summer term programs and providing assistance with recruitment activities related to transfer student recruitment. The administrative assistant will facilitate student visits, track applications, maintain databases, prepare and process expense reports and provide basic reports.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills, a commitment to providing superlative customer service, and strong math and online research abilities. Superior attention to detail and ability to multi-task are required. This position exists in a fast-paced office environment, may require occasional extended hours and the flexibility to manage tight deadlines as well as occasional short-notice requests. Skills required include advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong preference will be given to candidates experienced with Banner by Ellucian or Recruiter by Datatel.
