Children Up to Age 26
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (health care reform) requires medical coverage for children up to age 26. The child:
- does not have to be a full-time student
- does not have to be your dependent for federal income tax purposes
- can be married (however, their family is not eligible for coverage)
Under the program, children will eligible until their 26th birthday (up through the calendar day immediately preceding the 26th birthday) To enroll your eligible child you must complete a United Healthcare enrollment form and provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate or adoption papers. 2010, 2011 and 2012 Holiday Schedules
The President and Cabinet have approved a revised Holiday Schedule for 2010 and a schedule for 2011. In addition, in order to assist with planning over the next couple of years, they have tentatively approved the schedule for 2012. Each of these calendars includes additional time off during the Christmas holidays. Please join me in thanking President Weisbuch and the Cabinet for this wonderful gift of time! Floating Holidays
Don’t forget to use Float Holidays before the end of December! Unused Float Holiday hours do not carry over to 2011 –all unused float hours will be lost.
Tuition Exchange
2011-12 applications for new and returning students under the Tuition Exchange Program are due in Human Resources no later than Friday, November 5, 2010. Important Reminder: You must re-apply every year.
