Health Care Reform

A number of questions have been asked about the impact of health care reform on Drew’s health care plan.  We are working with our consultant and vendors on this, however, it may take months before the regulations are finalized and we know the impact on us.  We can confirm that because Drew’s plan year begins in January, most of the changes that will affect us will not take place until January 1, 2011 or later.  Stay tuned.

Great Colleges Survey

The 2010 Great Colleges to Work For survey was emailed to all full-time faculty and staff in March, with follow-up reminders to everyone who has not participated.  Modern Think, the company that is managing the survey, provides each institution with a statistical summary of participation rates.  As of today, 49% of the faculty and 47% of the staff have returned their surveys!  Friday, April 16th is the survey deadline — if you have not already done so, please complete before Friday.  Thank you!

Staff Vacation Accrual

After two years of encouraging staff to use their hard-earned vacation time, this is it.  Effective July 1, 2010, we will enforce the maximum vacation accrual of 140 hours.  Not sure how much time you have left? Check CampusWeb for your current balance.    

Campus Conduct Hotline (Reminder)

The Campus Conduct Hotline makes it possible for you to report concerns about possible violations of our institution’s policies on a completely confidential and anonymous basis.  The Hotline system is available for your use 24/7 and because it is operated by an independent organization, any calls made through this Hotline are confidential and anonymous.  For more information about the Hotline and/or the Whistleblower’s Policy, go to “Information for Employees” on the HR Intranet website.
