TMS Payment Gateway Directions
The TMS Payment Gateway is the only way to make a payment to your student account with a credit card or checking/savings account electronic debit. There is a 2.99% service fee associated with the use of a credit card through the Payment Gateway (minimum $1.00 transaction fee) and is assessed by the service upon completion of the transaction. If you choose the self service option AND the checking/savings account option the fee is waived.
If you have a hold on your account due to an outstanding balance and need to have it removed immediately (available only if you’ve paid with a credit card), make note of the confirmation number you are given after your payment has been completed. Contact the Business Office at 973-408-3114 or email business@drew.edu with the number and we can confirm the completion of your transaction and put in a temporary clearance (this clearance does not apply to payments made with the Checking or Savings Acct option which requires a 10 day hold for funds to clear).
Accessing the TMS Payment Gateway
Before accessing the Payment Gateway, please have the following three items ready:
- Amount you are paying (TMS cannot answer questions regarding your balance, as they do not have access to your Drew University Account)
- Credit Card or Bank Account information
- Student’s Drew University ID#
By Phone: call toll free from the United States (800) 722-4867, choose the option that allows you to make a one time payment (International callers must use 401-921-3700). Available Monday through Friday, 8am to 10pm and Saturday, 9am to 3pm.
By Internet: To pay online please visit www.afford.com/drew and select the “make a payment” option. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
