How to Pay Tuition and Fees
Please be advised that ANY payments made to clear a student’s account for registration, transcripts, diplomas, or commencement participation MUST be made using secured funds (cash, credit card, money order, or bank/cashier’s check). Any payment made by personal or business check will have a ten business day hold until the funds clear.
Cash Payment
Must be presented in the Business Office in person. Please, for your protection, never mail a cash payment (including Campus Mail).
Check or Money Order
May be presented in the Business Office or mailed to our payment address: Drew University, PO Box 36118, Newark NJ 07188-6118. Please note paying a past due balance, there is a 10 day hold your account when payments are made with a personal or corporate check to allow time for the payment to clear.
Credit Card Payments
Student Account Payments - may be authorized using a Master Card, American Express, or Discover Card account through the TMS Payment Gateway (Visa does not currently participate). There is a fee associated with the use of this service and is based on the amount being paid. There is a fee associated with the use of this service and is based on the amount being paid. The convenience fee is 2.99% of your transaction amount with a minium of a $1.00 fee.
All Campus Card & Deposit Payments - these payments may be made via credit/debit card and are processed in the Business Office using Visa, Master Card, or American Express. There is no fee associated with credit card payments to the All Campus Card or Deposit Payments (ie housing deposit, enrollment deposit, DIS deposit).
Direct Debit from Checking or Savings
Student account payments may be authorized to be taken directly from your bank checking or savings account through the TMS Payment Gateway. There is no fee associated with this payment method (regardless of payment amount) for use of the automated self-service method. There is a $10 fee if the payer chooses to speak with a TMS representative to make payment. At this time, only student account payments to Drew University can be processed using this method of payment.
Payment Plans
TMS Payment Plan – For the upcoming terms, Drew participates in an installment payment plan for your convenience through Tuition Management Systems. This option considers financing Fall & Spring combined (10 monthly payments starting June 1st), Fall Only (5 monthly payments starting June 1st) or Spring Only (5 monthly payments starting November 1st). Drew Payment Plan – Drew offers a 4 month payment plan available for balances between $400 – $3,000. This option is only offered for current semester charges and must be completed by the end of the semester. Payments for this plan must be made directly to Drew University (see payment options above). There is a $40 non-refundable application fee required with the application for this payment plan. Financial Aid
Financial Aid can come in the form of Scholarships (in-house and outside awards), Grants (Federal, State, Private), and/or Loans (Perkins, Direct, PLUS, Alternative). All financial aid must be managed through Drew’s Financial Aid Office as part of your Award Package.
