Sixth Annual Dean Hopper Graduate Student Conference: An Island at the Center of the World: Reconsidering Ireland’s Role on the Global Stage
Scholars expand conversations surrounding Ireland’s role on the international stage in the 20th and 21st centuries, presenting their research on the historical, cultural and political connections among the island and the world. The conference includes special commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement.

Featuring the address “Class, Geography and the Novel: What the Irish Language Can Tell Us” by Barry McCrea.
Culminating in the keynote address and this year’s Shirley Sugerman Interfaith Forum, “Building Peace in Northern Ireland: 20 Years On,” with keynote speakers Laurence McKeown and Tom Kelly | 4:30 p.m.
