Lisa Jordan is Director of the Spatial Data Center at Drew University. She is also Assistant Professor of Biology & Environmental Studies and Sustainability (ESS). Her teaching and research interests focus on the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in population geography, public health, and environmental justice. In particular, her current work centers on the use of the USAID web-GIS application, Population Explorer, to improve accessibility of both geographic and demographic information for food security analysis. She led the EPA-Drew University partnership (2013-2015) to promote spatial analytical research of the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI), and currently teaches a course in Medical Geography to support the Civic Engagement curriculum on campus.
