Article I

The name of the organization shall be Drew University Staff Association (DSA).

Article II

The purpose for which this organization is formed is:

  1. To promote a spirit of community and self-awareness among the members of the University staff
  2. To encourage active communication within the membership of DSA and between DSA and the faculty and students of the University.
  3. To increase visibility of the functions and contributions of DSA and to expand the contributions of DSA to the life and function of the University.
  4. To serve as the official body responsible for providing representation to the larger University community.
  5. DSA shall be vested with the authority to discuss and express its view on any matter of general interest, and to make recommendations concerning any such matter to the Administration Cabinet of the University. (Moved from By Laws)

Article III

General meetings shall be three times a year.

Article IV

The governing body shall be the Board, which shall be three Executive Officers, a Secretary, a Treasurer, an Annual Planning and Budget Committee representative, the Compensation Committee representative, standing committee heads and two members-at-large.

Article V

The Constitution and bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the members present and voting at a meeting called for that purpose.
