Copying in the Library

What type of copying is available?

There are 4 Xerox copiers on the main floor of the Library, near the Circulation Counter, and 4 Minolta Reader/Printers for making copies from microfilm and microfiche, in the microform room. The Xerox machines have a book edge top, which means copying from books can be done without damaging the spines.

How much are the copies?

Copies are $.10 each. The Xerox machines give change; the Microfilm/Microfiche Reader/Printers need exact change, which you can obtain at the Circulation Desk.

How do I pay for Xerox photocopies?

In order to use your Drew ID to make photocopies, you must set up a discretionary debit account with the Business Office (X 3114). No change for bills will be provided at the Circulation Desk. Copiers accept coins, $1.00 or $5.00 bills, and Drew ID cards.

Do all the Xerox machines take money and cards?

Two of the Xerox machines take both money and cards. The other two machines only accept cards. The machines that accept money accept nickels, dimes, quarters, half dollar, and dollar coins, and $1.00, $2.00, and $5.00 bills.

How do I pay for copies from the Microfilm/Microfiche Reader/Printers?

Dimes are needed to make microform copies. Dimes can be purchased at the Circulation Counter with coins, $1.00 or $5.00 bills.

Can the Xerox machines enlarge and reduce items?

Yes.

What type of paper do the Xerox machines accept?

The machine prints onto letter or legal size paper.

Can the Xerox machines do transparencies?

No.

Can the Xerox machines do double-sided copying?

No.
