What is DocXchanger?
DocXchanger is a file sharing client that Drew faculty, staff, and students can use to share files with one another and with non-Drew users. By using the web-based version, Drew users can also easily access and share their files from off campus using any computer with an internet connection. Below you will find information on how to install and use the Windows Client. To use DocXchanger from off campus with a computer that does not have the Windows Client installed, click here for documentation on using the Web Interface. You do not need to install DocXchanger to use the Web Interface.
Downloading DocXchanger Windows Client using Application Explorer (On-Campus only)
Note: To install the DocXchanger for Windows client software from the Application Explorer, you must be logged in on campus to Drew's network.
1. Find the Application Explorer icon on your desktop and double-click on it. 
If you have an older version of the Novel Network client on your computer, the icons will look like yellow file folders. If your Application Explorer icon looks like a yellow file folder, please upgrade to the latest Application Explorer client immediately. Call the CNS Helpdesk (x3205) for instructions on how to upgrade your Application Explorer client.
2. If you have an older version of the Novel Network client on your computer, double-click on the Drew tree. If you have the latest version of Novel Networks already installed, go to step 3.
3. Double-click on the Install Software 
folder.
4. Double-click on the 
Networking folder
5. Double-click on the DocXchanger Client icon. 
6. Follow the prompts to install the software.

Download DocXchanger Windows Client at the Web Site (Off-Campus only)
Installing the DocXchanger for Windows client software from the http://docx.drew.edu web site can be done from any internet enabled computer to which you have installation privileges.
1. Open a web browser.
2. Navigate to http://docx.drew.edu.
3. Log in to iChain with your uLogin credentials (your Drew username and password).
4. Click the Download Software 
button.
5. Click on the Drew-DocXchanger-client-win32.msi link.
6. Save the .msi file to your desktop.
7. Double-click on the Drew-DocXchanger-client-win32.msi on the desktop.
8. Follow the prompts to install the software.
