Staff Lab

Located in the basement of Brother's College, the Staff Lab is a dedicated resource space set aside to provide staff with support and advice in the use of technology. There are several computers equipped with a variety of tools and a mix of general and specialized software packages.

We provide a number of services including training, assistance, and access to software. Call or come to the Staff Lab for help with planning and creating specific projects, general software use and questions, or just a quiet place to work for a while.

We offer hardware and software for use in digital video capture and editing, digital audio editing, image and text scanning, and slide scanning, as well as for general Corel to MS Office conversions, web page creation and development, and spreadsheet and database use.

The Staff Lab also has equipment available for staff to borrow, including laptop computers and digital cameras. Call to reserve yours today!

 Announcing the 2009 Staff Technology Development Seminar

 Starting on January 21^st of 2009 and running every other Wednesday from 2:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m.  until May27^th, John Saul will be running the 2009 Staff Technology Development Seminar entitled Creating Forms and Print Materials to Support Your Business Processes. This workshop will help departments learn to articulate their business processes and then create interactive, electronically fillable forms to which can then be either printed or submitted online depending on the business process in question.  The Seminar is limited to six participants, and all applicants must complete the application form including their supervisor's signature for permission to attend.
