The Student Technology Education Lab (STEL) has 2 Nikon Coolpix 5600 5.1 megapixel digital cameras that are available for student use. Do you have a project that requires digital pictures? Are you planning a big event and want to take quality photos without spending money on a camera? Do you have a website you would like to enhance with digital pictures? Come to the Student Technology Education Lab!
Cameras can be loaned for one week at a time. Students must come to the lab to request and pick up the camera. We are located in the basement of Brothers College across from the CNS Helpdesk and are open weekdays 10am - 5pm. When you arrive, a friendly STEL employee will show you the camera's special features - which include zoom, settings for taking portraits, indoor and night shots, artistic close-ups, scenic shots, and more!
Cameras include a Quick Reference Guide for easy use, instruction manual, carrying case, memory card, picture editing software, and cables to connect to your computer or television. If you need help using the camera or want to learn more (for example, about how to create a website showcasing your photos) come to the STEL! We ask that all cameras be returned promptly with all additional items included, so all students can take advantage of this opportunity
