Out of office Rule
One convenient use for Rules in GroupWise is the ability to set an Out of Office message. When activated, a message is immediately sent to anyone who sends you an email informing them that you are not able to respond promptly. In Webmail, you must turn this feature on and off manually, otherwise GroupWise will continue to send automated messages telling others that you are away.
If you forgot to enable your "Out of the office" rule you created before leaving on a business trip, or if you simply want to manage your other rules, click the Options link in the upper right hand corner of your screen.

The Options function allows you to personalize your Webmail account with a variety of features. For creating, enabling and disabling Rules, click on the Rules tab.

Enabling a Rule in GroupWise Webmail can only turn the feature on or off. If you want to set a rule to automatically activate and stop on specified dates, you will need to use the GroupWise Enterprise Client on your Drew-issued laptop or on a computer in a lab on campus to set more sophisticated rules. Detailed instructions for using rules in the GroupWise Enterprise Client are available here.
