The biggest news from ITS this Spring is Moodle! As Drew moves toward replacing Blackboard with Moodle, many benefits are being felt by teachers and students alike! For one thing, our fine colleagues in Computing and Network Services have been working hard to connect Moodle with Drew registration data – this means that courses will now be created automatically, and that students will be enrolled automatically! For those who have spent time creating courses and enrolling students into them, this is very good news indeed. Another innovation is that Moodle’s file system has been attached to the K: Drive. This means that faculty can put files in their K: drive folders (reserve and archive) and find them immediately in Moodle, ready to be linked as an assignment. If you haven’t logged on, please take a minute to go to moodle.drew.edu and see what is happening!
