Note: If you are using Ektron (the content management system) please visit the Ektron page for instructions on editing content.Once you have written your home page in Macromedia Dreamweaver or Microsoft FrontPage, follow the steps below to make it accessible to other users. These steps apply to publishing a page on the Drew system for access on the World Wide Web.
1. Name your home page index.htm when saving the file.
2. Save your web page into the www folder on your F: drive along with other HTML files and images connected to your page. The page is live and available immediately at http://users.drew.edu/username. A directory of user home pages at Drew is compiled hourly at http://users.drew.edu.
3. Please note that anything you publish here is available to anyone (on and off-campus) with a web browser. You are legally responsible for the contents of this area and must adhere to university computer usage policies. To limit access to webpages, visit this link on htaccess.
Accessing Your Page
Your home page will now be accessible at http://users.drew.edu/username or http://users.drew.edu/username/filename.htm for a specific file.
Departmental and Course Pages
These pages operate similarly to the way user web pages are set up, with the www directory located on the departmental network drive (G:\) or course network drive (K:\). Departmental pages can be found at http://depts.drew.edu/departmentalabbreviation. Course pages can be found at http://courses.drew.edu/course-number-section.
