Continuing Education and Summer Term Office - Posted:4/29/2008

Continuing Education and Summer Term office seeks a student worker for summer months, starting week of May 19 for approximately 10-15 hours a week. Flexible schedule and start date. Work study eligibility is preferred but not required.

Duties include general clerical work including copying, filing, preparing mailings, word processing, data entry, running errands on campus, and sporadic phone work, as well as assisting in the greeting of visitors and occasional assistance at events.

Health Service(2) - Posted:3/24/2008

Health Service seeks a Front Desk Receptionist for summer months. Summer hours begin the week after graduation (May 17). We are then open 9:00am to 1:00pm Monday through Thursday. Closed Fridays and weekends. There will be opportunities for additional hours after the office closes for special projects.

Immediate temporary position opening:

Dean Lawler’s office, in BC-114, is looking for a reliable person to fill in for her secretary for the week of February 25 through the 29th. It could be for a few hours in the mornings and/or afternoons, to answer telephone calls calls, schedule appointments, etc.

If would be beneficial if the person interested in the job, could stop by BC-114 as soon as possible but no later than Friday, Feb. 22nd.

EOS Office - Grad Work-study - Posted:2/18/2008

The Educational Opportunity Scholars office has two positions available.  Applicants must be graduate students with work-study eligibility, and must have a strong background in writing.

The position involves working with students in the areas of writing, test-taking, and study skill techniques.  Applicants must be willing to work twice a week for two hours.

Minimum Educational requirements for this position: Must be a Graduate Student.  Must be work-study eligible.

Minimum experience required for this position: Must be able to use the computer, assist clients with forms, answer phone, make contacts on campus, and other jobs as appropriate.

Summary of position: This is a most visible position.  Responsibilities include greeting and helping students and others, making them feel comfortable, helping them complete forms, and calming them during crisis.  In addition, he/she will assist the counseling staff with their projects and needs. 

The person in this position must be pleasant, reliable, and responsible.  This person should have the personal attributes to enable effective interpersonal relationships and communicate with a diverse population.

Language Resource Center - Posted:11/14/2007

The Language Resource Center is looking for 3-4 students (work-study eligible or regular) for technical support, starting summer or early fall 2007. Applicants should have a knowledge of one or more of the following applications:

- Microsoft Office
- Macromedia (Dreamweaver and Flash)
- Adobe Photoshop
- Paint Shop Pro

Knowledge of hardware or network basics and scanning is also very desirable. Additional training will be provided to students as needed. Some knowledge of or interest in a foreign language would be useful. Excellent pay and flexible hours.

Office of Annual Giving - Alumni/ae House - Posted:11/14/2007

This position is available to both work study and non work study students.

The Office of Annual Giving at Drew's Alumni/ae House is searching for outgoing and motivated students to work for the Drew Dialers program. Students working for the Phonathon are considered ambassadors for the University and therefore must be able to represent Drew in a positive, enthusiastic manner. Additionally, Drew Dialers must feel comfortable on the phone and be knowledgeable of campus happenings and events.

Drew Dialers call alumni/ae of Drew University for several reasons: to update their information in our database, maintain relationships with alumni/ae and answer any questions, inform them of both Drew on-campus and off-campus events, and to ask each constituent to support the university with donations toward the Drew University Annual Fund.

Students working for the Drew Dialers program enjoy flexible hours and a starting pay rate of $7.15 per hour. In addition, there are bonuses, prizes, snacks, and games- all while working!
