Scott Bonn joined the Sociology faculty at Drew in 2007. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Miami, his M.S. in Criminal Justice from San Jose State University, and his B.A. in Journalism from Kent State University. He teaches courses in criminology, deviance and research methods. His areas of research interest include elite deviance, biases in the criminal justice system, and the effects of media and political rhetoric on public attitudes and opinion. He has published on the importance of higher education for police officers (Policing International). He is the author of a forthcoming book titled "Mass Deception: Moral Panic and the Iraq War" from Rutgers University Press. He also has more than 20 years of corporate experience as a media executive, including Vice President of Client Marketing at NBC Television Network.
