Departmental Deposit Instructions

Keys to Making a Complete Deposit

Cash & Checks

1. ALL deposits must be accompanied by a deposit slip. If you do not have one, they can be found here.
2. Please make sure to complete a) the “Additional Comment or Instruction” area of this form - at the very least it must include a brief description of the deposit, and b) the Name and Phone Extension area – we do need to know who to contact in case of a problem.
3. All check deposits (with more than one check) must be accompanied by a tape total from an adding machine or a total created via an Excel Spreadsheet. We need to itemize how many checks are in each bundle and what the total amount is.
4. All checks must have the GL account number written on them. If we get a returned check we do not know which account to debit.
5. Any starter checks submitted for deposit MUST have a name and address written on them for identification purposes. Again, if we get a check returned with no ID on it, we do not know who to contact.
6. Check deposits must be made as soon as possible. Our policy is not to deposit checks older than 3 months.
7. Please make sure each check is made out to DREW if it is made out to a person, that person must endorse the back of the check. No checks should be made out to CASH, in the event that one slips through it must be endorsed as well.
8. Please do NOT staple checks to paperwork or send checks with staples in them.
9. Any large volume coin deposits must be either pre-rolled or exchanged for cash (i.e. Coinstar machines or the TD Banknorth coin exchanger). We do not provide coin rolls.
10. All check/cash deposits must be submitted before 4pm. Anything submitted after then will be processed on the next business day.

Credit Cards

1. All credit card deposits must be a minimum of $10 and must be submitted in batches by type of card (AMEX, MC and VISA).
2. Please remember that we do not accept Discover for departmental deposits.
3. All credit card deposits must be submitted before 4pm. Anything submitted afterward will be processed the following business day.

With new deposit requirements from JP Morgan Chase we are now required to provide them with more and more specific information. Please understand that your help is needed to make these transactions as smooth as possible.
