When will a student use the services of TMS Payment Gateway? A student can use the
TMS Payment Gateway to make a payment to his/her student account (i.e. tuition, fees, room/board, etc.) by credit card or ACH debit from a checking or savings account. Student’s may still deposit funds onto the bookstore and/or food account with a credit card in the Business Office.
Which charges are generally included on a student account and must be paid through the TMS Payment Gateway? Tuition and general fees, housing and board plans, accident/sickness insurance, loan interest, library fines, parking tickets, computer buy in/out fees, past due Health Services charges, and past due long distance telephone charges.
Which company will provide credit card and ACH payment service for Drew University? Tuition Management Services, a leading provider of education payment services for many colleges and universities across the nation.
How will a student or parent access the TMS Payment Gateway?
1. Call 800-722-4867, a toll free number. Students can select the Pay In Full option to make a one-time payment (TMS also services our payment plan option);
2. Access TMS Payment Gateway via web directly by typing www.afford.com/drew into your browser's address bar;
3. Access the TMS Payment Gateway web site via a link from the Drew Business Office web site
When can a student use the TMS Payment Gateway to make a credit card or ACH payment? 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Will all credit cards be accepted? At this time, MasterCard, American Express and Discover will be accepted. Visa does NOT participate in this program.
What is the fee charged? A convenience fee will be charged to the cardholder (Please see the fee table) and is based on the amount being paid (sliding fee scale). A flat fee of $5 will be assessed for an ACH debit transaction from a checking or savings account no matter what the amount is.
Does Drew profit in any way from the convenience fee charged? No, the convenience fee is paid to Tuition Management Services, Drew receives no part of this fee.
Where will credit cards, including Visa, be accepted at Drew? The bookstore will continue to accept credit cards as it always has, and students will be permitted to use Visa, MasterCard, and American Express to put money onto their All Campus Card bookstore and food accounts in the Business Office.
When is payment made through TMS Payment Gateway posted to a student’s account? Though Business Office staff can, by request (for the purpose of clearing a hold), confirm completion of a transaction with TMS, payments will be posted to your Drew student account 1 to 2 business days after the transaction is completed through the Gateway.
Will a student paying a past due balance have to wait for Drew to post the payment before they can register? No, the student can contact the Business Office who can confirm that the payment has been made through TMS Payment Gateway and then clear the student to register.
What if a student encounters a problem in making a credit card payment through the TMS Payment Gateway? 1. The student or parent can contact Tuition Management Systems at 800-722-4867 selecting option 6 (401-921-3700 out side of the US) or email them at service@afford.com;

Will a student who is entitled to a refund and who paid using TMS Payment Gateway receive all or a portion of the convenience fee back? No, the convenience fee is non-refundable.
