Head Coach Christa Racine

RacineChrista Racine has led the Drew University women's soccer program since 1994. The program’s all-time leader in wins, Racine has been named the Coach of the Year three times, most recently in 2005, and in 1994 was named the DIII Coach of the Year by the CSANJ. She has led her teams to 11 conference playoff appearances, five ECAC Tournament appearances and an NCAA Tournament berth. In 2001, Racine became a member of the Century Club by posting her 100th career victory and currently has a career record of 152-92-21 for a .613 winning percentage.

A native of Morris County, Racine was an All-American at local high school Morris Catholic prior to attending Rutgers University. She led the Scarlet Knights to a four-year record of 50-24-7, with three consecutive ECAC Championships from 1990-1992. Her 39 career goals are tied for the highest total in school history and she holds the record for most assists in a game with four. Racine was most recently honored by the Newark Star Ledger as a member of New Jersey's “All-Century” Team.

Following her outstanding collegiate career, the Regional All-American played in the Olympic Festival, starring for the gold medal winning East Team in 1994. A USSF "A" license coach, Racine teaches coaching certification courses for the state of New Jersey. In addition to her duties as women's soccer coach, Racine serves as Drew's assistant director of athletics.

Assistant Coach Stephanie Zalewski

Stephanie Zalewski joins the Rangers coaching staff for the 2008-09 year. A former standout player at Bryant University, Zalewski begins her collegiate coaching career at Drew. She brings energy, enthusiasm and playing collegiate playing experience to the Ranger staff.

At Bryant, Zalewski helped the Bulldogs record a program record 17 wins in 2007 while peaking at No. 13 in the NCAA Division II. A four-year starter, she had career totals of 14 goals and seven assists while also garnering Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic honors. A graduate of nearby Parsipanny High School, she was an All-Conference, All-County and All-Area selection in soccer.

Jillian Loyden

One of the most decorated keepers in American soccer, Jillian Loyden joined the Ranger coaching staff as an assistant coach in the spring of 2008.  A member of the Women's Professional Soccer's St. Louis Athletica, Loyden's expertise in defensive tactics and goalkeeper skills has made her a valuable addition to the Drew staff.

Loyden most recently played in the inaugural season of the Women's Professional Soccer League.  She is a keeper on the St. Louis Athletica, backing up Olympic Gold Medalist Hope Solo.  Loyden was the WPS Player of the Week May 25th 2009.  She made 16 saves on the season only allowing one goal for a stellar 0.33 GAA.

One of the top keepers in the country, the Vineland, NJ product has numerous accomplishments from her career as a four-year starter at Villanova University. She was the NSCAA first team All-American in 2006, as well as the two-time BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year and NSCAA All-Regional selection and repeat first team all-conference choice. She posted a career 0.74 GAA and .859 save percentage over her 62 career games, all starts, while recording 38 wins and 25 shutouts.

Loyden had been the starting keeper for the W-League Sky Blues for the past two seasons. She posted a 13-6-2 record while allowing just .717 goals against. In 2007, her .517 GAA was third best in the W-League. At Vineland High School, she was a first team All-State selection and competed for the state, regional and national ODP squads in 1999 and 2000.
