Law Named Woman of the Year

Lizz and ChristaThe New Jersey Associate of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women named Field Hockey Senior, Elizabeth Law, Woman of the Year for Drew University.  The award is based on athletic and academic achievement.  The ceremony, held at Seton Hall University Sunday afternoon, recognized a member of each two and four-year institution in the state.

 

Brown's Double-Double Not Enough for Drew

0023mbsktbl Sophomore, Terrell Brown recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Rangers in a 74-62 loss to the Susquehanna Crusaders Saturday afternoon.  Junior Mike Mayes and Sophomore McNeil Wrice were second behind Brown in scoring with 11 points a piece.  The loss brings the Ranger's record to 7-15 overall and 3-8 in the Landmark Conference while the Crusaders improve to 13-9 overall, 6-5 in the conference.

Crusaders Cruise by Drew, 65-46

0081wbsktblThe Drew Rangers suffered their sixth straight conference defeat at the hands of the Susquehanna Crusaders, 65-46.  Sophomore Kat Luby's team high 11 points wasn't enough to hold off the Crusaders who had three different players score in the double digits.  The Rangers fell to 11-10 on the year, 2-9 in the Landmark Conference while the Crusaders improved to 13-9, 7-4 in conference play.

Men's Hoops Falls to Juniata 66-48

 A0046mbsktbl 20-7 run to start the second half extended a four point halftime lead to 17 for the Juniata College men's basketball team as they cruised to a 66-48 victory over Drew University in Landmark Conference action inside the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center, on Friday night. 
    

Rangers Conference Woes Continue
0167wbsktblDrew University's 33 turnovers led to 26 Juniata College points, providing the margin of victory and then some as Juniata women's basketball rolled past Drew, 61-40, in Friday night's Landmark Conference matchup at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
