Johnson & Johnson Laboratory Analyst Training and Certification Program

In the fall of 1996, Drew University joined pharmaceutical giant, Johnson & Johnson, in an innovative program designed to provide uniform training to all J&J laboratory personnel. The objectives of this 10-day program are:

  • to provide a world class training program with FDA recognition of J&J as a leader in laboratory compliance,
  • to provide uniform interpretation of compliance issues, and
  • to increase the efficiency, productivity, and accuracy of the analysts.

The training is conducted at the Titusville, NJ facility of Janssen Pharmaceutica, a subsidiary of J&J.

Drew faculty serve on the program's advisory board which meets regularly to review the academic content and practices of the program. In addition, the university's Office of Continuing Education maintains the academic records of the participants and issues certificates to the employees who successfully complete the program.
