The Friends of the CRCC philanthropically support the Center on Religion, Culture & Conflict’s mission to build lasting peace around the world. Your gifts directly provide resources for:

  • Student engagement: Fatou Diallo C’13 interned at UNHABITAT to create sustainable towns and cities and served as a Youth Advocate with the United Nations Millennium Campaign. Undergraduate students also participate in international seminars and service trips around the world.FatouDiallo2
  • Arts of Respect: A two-week arts festival and competition in the visual, literary, and performing arts, AOR gives Drew’s most gifted artists, as well as local high school students, a forum for conversations about hatred and bias, while promoting cultural and religious understanding on campus and in our community.
  • Visiting Scholars: The CRCC brings some of the best modern minds to teach at Drew. Visiting faculty have included Wallerstein Fellow, Saad Ibrahim a human rights and democracy activist; Reza Aslan, Iranian-American writer and religious scholar; and Barer Fellow Jessica Jackley, co-founder of

With funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, The Summer Institute on Conflict Transformation brings together emerging leaders from religious communities around the world to Drew’s campus to learn the latest techniques in conflict resolution. Our first participants have already begun to employ their new knowledge, skills and relationships to build peace in their home countries.
