Salutations once again, readers!
I’m certain you’ve all been eagerly awaiting the next installment of our always-thrilling blog, and now the wait is over! As I mentioned in our previous entry, the coming months contain many exciting events, and the first one is only a week away! Reza Aslan, whom many Drew students know personally as last year’s Wallerstein Distinguished Visiting Professor, will be returning to our Concert Hall on September 25th at 7:30 p.m. to discuss and sign his book Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, which has attracted a good deal of controversy recently, for reasons that continue to perplex me. Our next musical event is also fast approaching, so get hyped! On September 28th at 8 p.m., Drew will host Trefoil, a distinguished trio of medieval singer-instrumentalists. This first da Camera concert will feature a number of 14th- and 15th-century French pieces, and all sources indicate it will be true delight. So clear your calendars, tune in next week for more, and take some time this weekend to eat something pumpkin-related. Only two days ‘til fall, you know!
