INST 150/Independent Study (1-4)
An independent investigation of a topic selected in conference with the instructor and approved by the department. Admission by petition to or upon invitation of a department. May be repeated for credit with a different department or in the same department with departmental approval. Registration for this course applies only if a department does not offer a departmental course in independent study. Projects not directly within the discipline of the instructor's department must receive approval from the Assistant Dean of the College and the Dean's Council. Amount of credit established at time of registration. Course may be repeated. Signature of instructor required for registration.
