How to Apply

The following application requirements apply only if you are not a U.S. citizen or not a permanent resident. U.S. Citizens and permanent residents should follow the regular application instructions. Please review the instructions for international applicants. To apply, submit:

Dates & Deadlines

  • Spring 2010 Application Deadline: November 15, 2009
  • Fall 2010 Application Deadline: February 15, 2010
  • Notification: Upon Completion of your Application
  • Spring 2010 Enrollment Deposit Due: January 16, 2010
  • Fall 2010 Enrollment Deposit Due: May 1, 2010

Notice

All high school transcripts must be in English or they will not be considered.

  1. A notarized and signed International Student Financial Statement including the Affidavit of Support required with the application
    • If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is currently studying and living abroad, you do NOT need to fill out the International Student Financial Statement
  2. Official bank account statement(s) in U.S. dollars.
    • The statement(s) must show funds available to the student in an amount equal to or greater than the total cost of attendance for one year.
    • The statement(s) must be official, from the financial institution itself, not simply a computer print-out. 
  3. An application (choose one)
  4. A non-refundable $75 fee
    • Fee waivers are not accepted for international applicants.
    • This fee can be paid with a credit card via telephone to the USA at 973-408-3739 or with a check in U.S. dollars through the postal system.
  5. An official SAT or ACT score report OR a graded paper (and TOEFL if necessary - Drew's school code is 2193.)
  6. Official transcripts in English from all secondary schools attended
    • If you have transcripts in a language other than English, you must have them evaluated and translated.  There are a number of foreign credential evaluation services available to students.  WES (World Education Services) is among the most popular with Drew applicants.  However, you may use any agency available to you.  The student is responsible for all costs associated with the evaluation and translation of their foreign transcripts.

In addition, international transfer students must submit:

  • College Official's Report filled out by an administrative official at the last college/university in which you were enrolled (only required for transfer admission)

No application will be reviewed until all of the above documents have been received. To expedite the completion of an application, a document may be faxed and the original sent by post. However, a final decision will not be made until the originals are received by the Office of College Admissions.
