The Center for Civic Engagement provides consulting and course development assistance to faculty members interested in teaching a Community Based Learning (CBL) course or undertaking a community-based research project. Through annual CBL Course Development Seminars, one-on-one consultations, and facilitated meetings with potential community partners, the Center helps faculty apply CBL pedagogies and best practices effectively to their courses while also ensuring that our community partners see real benefit to their organizations as a result.
