Operation on the Move (Spring 2020)

“Operation on the Move”

(Previously referred to as Phase Two Move-Out)

The committee who coordinated “Operation on the Move” developed a plan that kept the health and safety of our students and community as our top priority. Our focus was on offering students move-out solutions that allowed them to adhere to personal standards for health and safety, limiting the number of people who had access to residence halls, and upholding social distancing measures throughout the duration of the move-out process.

To accomplish these goals, we outlined a multipart process that allowed students to choose the best package for them.

Students had the opportunity to select one of the following five packages below, offered in partnership with our university-designated moving company, Main Street Movers. Beneath the overview pro/con chart, you’ll find detailed information related to each package, which was outlined to aid students in making the best choice for their individual situation.

Selection of each student’s preferred move-out package should have been designated using our “Operation on the Move” form no later than Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 8 p.m. Students who did not respond by May 2 were automatically registered for Package B: We Pack, We Store, and charged accordingly to their student account.

The information shared below is an archive of the resources made available to students during Operation on the Move during spring 2020. Please utilize it as a reference.
