Fall 2020 Special Housing

Limited on-campus housing will be available for the Fall 2020, and only for the following student populations

  • Undergraduate students currently living on campus
  • International Students
  • Students who have already planned to engage in independent academic research or creative work this fall that requires the use of physical facilities on campus. (Prior to requesting this exemption, please reach out to your faculty mentor. Approval from your mentor and the Provost’s Office will be required.)
  • Students with accessibility issues, housing or food insecurities.
  • Graduate and Theological students already confirmed in campus housing

If you meet the criteria listed above, and you would like to apply to live on campus, please follow these instructions to apply

  • Please review the Housing Contract Addendum prior to completing your application as the terms and conditions have been updated.
  • Only students who are currently in housing can access the application for fall housing. Meaning, if you have already canceled your housing for this fall, you can’t apply for Special Housing.
  • Log into MyHousing
  • Click on “Forms”
    • Select the application titled, “Fall 2020 Special Housing Application”
    • This application is due by August 9, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. to be considered for Fall 2020 Special Housing.
  • After you submit your application, you will be notified of your status in Housing on a rolling basis.
  • Students approved for Special Housing may have their housing assignment changed to a new building and room, please check housing.drew.edu for your updated assignment.

Students with housing assignments who DO NOT meet the criteria above

  • Students who do not apply/or meet criteria for Fall 2020 Special Housing will be removed from housing for the Fall 2020 semester on August 10, 2020
    • We will keep the record of all student housing assignments to place everyone accordingly for the Spring 2021 semester. We cannot guarantee the same assignment to everyone but do not expect many changes in housing assignments.
  • Once your room and board charges are removed, your Financial Aid award will be reviewed and any updates or changes to your package will be communicated with you by a member of the Financial Aid Office by Friday, August 14, 2020.
    • If you have already paid your room and board bill for the Fall 2020 semester the charges will be credited to your account.
  • If you have recently withdrawn from Housing for the Fall 2020 semester, you are all set and no further action is needed.
