Rev. Tanya Linn Bennett, Ph.D., Director of the Chapel & Religious Life and University Chaplain, Drew Theological School

Gen M is the largest and newest wave of young people turning adult in the history of the United States. Gen M has been identified as a distinct generation due to the unique sociological, economic, political and technological shifts which have occurred during its lifetime. This session aims to familiarize church leaders with the trends and theories that help to demystify the nature of the Millennial Generation and its approach to institutional religion. We will explore approaches to church practice which centralize the voices of youth and young adults in shifting traditional organized ways to being and doing church.
