Designing Pedagogy: Centering Empathy and Problem Solving
Led by Althea Spencer Miller and Kate Ott
This interactive pedagogical workshop explores the influence of design theory approaches on pedagogy. In particular, we will focus on the role of empathy in teaching and learning as we move toward problem-solving approaches in course development. This workshop will provide an overview and critical engagement with design pedagogy and offer a participatory experience conducive toward self-reflection and articulating teaching statements or course approaches to be useful in future curricular planning.
All GDR Students and Faculty are welcome!
