Dr. James Ault, Jr.: Using Video in Theological Education and the Work of the Church

Award-winning documentary filmmaker and scholar, Dr. James Ault, Jr, will lead an orientation and hands-on workshop on the use of technology (film) in ministry. Our program is as follows:

PART ONE: Production (introduction and filming events and interviews, plus logging footage)

  • Monday, October 22, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (SEM 101): Orientation and organizational meeting, followed by conversation over lunch
  • Tuesday, October 23 – Thursday, October 25: Other meeting times and places to set up and film events and interviews will be sent out by e-mail as they are scheduled.

PART TWO: Post-production (editing, building multiple pieces from the same footage, online posting, etc.) will occur over several days later in the fall semester.
