“ Time-Image”
Exhibition: February 3 – March 9, 2012
Opening Reception: February 3, 5:30 – 7:30 PM
The Korn Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of mixed media by Lee Arnold. The Gallery is located in the Dorothy Young Center for the Arts at Drew University and is open Tuesday through Friday 12:30-4:00 PM, selected weekends, and by appointment.
Lee Arnold’s “Time Image”, is a reference to Gilles Deleuze’s seminal text on cinema and the moving image. The exhibition consists of work in a variety of media including film, video animation, photography, drawing and sound, and is an attempt to lead the viewer to consider the relationship between time and perception.
Arnold has exhibited in the U.S. and abroad at venues including the Scope Art Fair in New York, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, SIGGRAPH in Los Angeles, and the Berlinische Galerie in Berlin. He is the recipient of fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and the DAAD, Berlin. Lee Arnold is an Assistant Professor at Drew University.
