Greetings friends and colleagues in and around the historical studies

Here is the reading for our first historical studies colloquium. The
article investigates the genealogies of and interplay between history
and religion in an interdisciplinary context. Professor Todd with
assistance from Benji Rolsky will lead us in a discussion generated by
the article about our areas position and our own individual identities.

As a reminder, our first colloquium is next week, Tuesday, Oct. 2nd,
from 11:30 – 1 in room 116 in Seminary Hall.

Our other two colloquia for the semester will have two historical
studies students presenting projects:

Nov. 6th, 11:30-1 room 116 sem.: Mido Hartman on the Acts of Xanthippe,
Polyxena, and Rebecca

Dec. 4th, 11:30-1 room 116 sem. : Tejai Beulah on Civil rights leader,
Baptist minister, businessman, intellectual, and publisher, the Rev. Dr.
Vernon N. Johns
