The Korn Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition “Evolving Circles 2010 – A Body in Progress” by Erika Saito. The exhibition will be on view from September 15 through October 18, 2010. The Gallery is located in the Dorothy Young Center for the Arts and is open Tuesday through Friday 12:30-4:00 PM and by appointment.
“Drew alumna Erika Saito creates drawings and installations that evoke the structure of life. Ms. Saito’s series, “Evolving Circles” and “The Evolving Cells,” investigate both the visual and conceptual potential of the circle” explains Martha Clippinger, Coordinator of Drew’s New York Semester on Contemporary Art. Ms. Clippinger will present Saito’s Korn Gallery Exhibition and examines it in the context of contemporary drawing and installation.
Erika Saito received her BA from Drew University and her MFA from Takarazuka University of Art and Design, Osaka, Japan. In her career, Ms. Saito has had solo exhibitions and group exhibitions in Japan and Europe. She lives in Kobe, Japan.
