United Methodist Annual Conferences

Each year Drew University sponsors alumni gatherings at many of the United Methodist annual conferences around the country. These gatherings enable alumni to reconnect with one another and with Drew. They are also a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in theological education to experience the “good community” that is Drew Theological School. Log into DREWnet with Facebook

Want to register for an event or post a classnote on DREWnet, but having trouble keeping track of all your log in information? Use the Connect with Facebook feature and you will only have one password to remember. The Connect with Facebook feature is an enhancement to DREWnet that enables registered members to log in and access the DREWnet Community with their Facebook credentials using trusted authentication. * To add the Drew University Alumni Connections application to your Facebook profile,  you will need to perform a one-time link between your Facebook account and DREWnet Community account.  Here’s how to do it: Visit drew.edu/drewnet and click on the “Login with Facebook” button. If your browser is not already logged into Facebook, a window will pop up asking you to sign in. Enter your Facebook credentials and click “Log In.” To confirm that you do indeed want to use Facebook to log into Drew University Alumni Connections, click on the “Log In with Facebook” button. A Word From . . .

Sara Waldron, Dean of Campus Life and Student Affairs The other night I had the pleasure of taking three students to dinner in Madison. I had donated “Dinner with the Dean” to the annual Orientation Coordinator auction and found myself sitting down to a meal with the highest bidders. One can only guess the reasons why any student would take a chance on winning dinner with the new dean and what they expected. As I sat at the table with those young men and heard about their experiences at Drew, clearly I was the winner that evening. Gathering around the table gave me the opportunity to hear first hand why these young men chose Drew and how each of them has benefitted from their time in the Forest. Unique as these students are, a senior, a junior, a sophomore, each with a different major and from different parts of the country, they share a common bond through their Drew experience. In turn they spoke of selecting Drew for its academic reputation in the liberal arts, small classes that would afford them personal interactions with professors, and opportunities to grow intellectually and personally.
