Louis Eccleston C’79 is an executive managing director at Standard & Poor’s. He serves as president of Standard
& Poor’s Valuation & Risk Strategies, a registered investment advisor; leads a new division formed in 2008 called Fixed Income Risk Management Services (FIRMS); and heads all of Standard & Poor’s Global Sales and Client Services.
Prior to joining Standard & Poor’s in 2008, Lou was chairman and chief executive officer of Pivot, Inc. Previously he served as president of Global Sales, Marketing and Services for Thomson Financial and spent 14 years as managing director with Bloomberg, L.P. Lou holds a B.A. in economics from Drew University and an M.B.A. in finance from La Salle University. Lou has been a long-time volunteer for Drew, serving as an alumni lecturer for the Wall Street Semester, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees. Lou’s wife, Joan Albanese, is also a Drew graduate (Class of 1978).
