The Drew University Office of Alumni Relations is pleased to invite graduates of the College of Liberal Arts and Caspersen School of Graduate Studies back to campus on September 25 – 26 for Alumni Homecoming Weekend.
With over 50 events planned, there are sure to be a number of activities of interest to participate in throughout the weekend. Events include everything from lifelong learning lectures to athletic events to gathering with friends and faculty, and much more.
Social Activities
Contact your friends and classmates and make sure you all sign up for the Class Cocktail Receptions and the Alumni Dinners on Saturday evening. This is the perfect place to spend time mixing and mingling, catching up and reminicing about your days at Drew. In fact, why not kick off the weekend on Friday night at the Alumni Welcome Reception? This is your opportunity to connect with faculty, both old and new, and catch a musical performance by current students.
Fun for the Kids
Bring your children back to your alma mater for an afternnoon of fun in the Forest. Children will enjoy bouncing around a magic castle, transforming into spiderman with facepaint, shooting hoops, crawling through a giant catapiller and other fun activities and crafts.
Alumni College
This year’s Alumni College line-up will feature both timely and exciting lectures. On Friday, join Professor Vincent Gullo as he describes the state of the art strategy employed to discover new anticancer compounds. Stick around as professors Wendy Kolmar and Debra Liebowitz discuss recent conversations and debates that are reshaping the field of “Women’s and Gender Studies.” Later in the evening, join Sara Lynn Henry, Professor Emerita of Art History and NEC Distinguished Teaching Professor of Humanities, as she presents a special exhibit in the Korn Gallery – the Morris Hall Pancoast collection, which was graciously donated to Drew University by Henny (Servos) C’49 and Nathan Schneider C’49 in honor of Mrs. Elziabeth Korn, their art teacher and personal friend. Don’t forget to check out the Alumni Homecoming schedule to view all the other lifelong learning sessions being offered throughout the weekend.
Career Connections
Help out current students and recent graduates as they make the transition into the workforce. On Saturday, participate in “Meet, Greet, and Link Up
Speed Network your way to a Career Connection.” This fun, interactive, fast-paced networking session is a great place to meet new people and you might make that perfect career connection—in five minutes or less!
Athletic Events
On Saturday, stop by the Turf and cheer on the Drew Women’s Field Hockey team as they take on our Landmark Conference rivals, or participate in the many alumni athletic matches taking place. Join in an alumni game or have fun cheering fellow graduates and current students from the sidelines.
