Honors Transfer Partnership

Under this program, high-achieving Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) students will be granted admission to Drew University’s bachelor of arts program upon meeting the following conditions:

  • Stay enrolled in good standing in the RVCC honors program for at least two semesters prior to graduation.
  • Graduate from RVCC with your associate’s degree and at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
  • Attend a meeting at RVCC with Drew University admission advisors or speak to your RVCC faculty advisor about your interest to get the transfer process started.
  • Submit a completed Drew University Application for Admission and final RVCC transcript by:
    • February 1 for fall semester admission.
    • October 1 for spring semester admission.

What Makes This Program Special?

In addition to a seamless transfer of credits to Drew, you can:

  • Take one course at Drew for no charge during the fall semester of your second year at RVCC and a second free course during your spring semester. Credits from these courses will be transferred to Drew.
  • Attend lectures, concerts, sports and other special campus events held at Drew.
  • Meet with Drew faculty and staff upon invitation for advisement and informational purposes.
  • Qualify for academic scholarships. Students who enroll at Drew through the Honors Partnership are guaranteed to have their full financial need met, minus a small expected contribution from summer savings.
  • Once admitted to Drew’s College of Liberal Arts, you are eligible to take graduate level courses at Drew’s Theological School and/or Caspersen School of Graduate Studies and apply the credit to your bachelor of arts degree program.

Scholarships

  • Transfer Honors Scholarship: $25,000 per year based on a college GPA of approximately 3.75 or higher.
  • Transfer Presidential Scholarship: $20,000 per year, based on a college GPA of approximately 3.5 or higher.
  • Transfer Dean’s Scholarship: $15,000, based on a college GPA of approximately 3.25 or higher.
  • Civic Transfer Scholarship: $2,500 per year. Learn more about application requirements.

In addition to these scholarships, transfer students from community colleges who are members of Phi Theta Kappa, and who have obtained an associates degree are eligible for a PTK Scholarship of $2,500 per year.

Drew also offers need-based grants to domestic transfer students. To determine your eligibility for a need-based grant from Drew, as well as federal and state grants, students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA, school code 002603).

Raritan Valley Community College Connect Program

Eligible RVCC students with fewer than 30 credits will be granted admission to Drew University’s bachelor of arts program upon meeting the conditions outlined below.

  • Graduate, in good standing, from RVCC with:
    associate in arts degree (A.A.)
    associate in science degree (A.S.)
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00
    Submit a Community College Connect Intent form to Drew University before completing their first 30 credits from RVCC
  • Submit completed Drew University Application for Admission & final RVCC transcript by:
    June 1 for fall semester admission
    January 1 for spring semester admission

What Makes This Program Special?
