What a great place to come to college. Secure and serene, the Drew campus is classic: pathways curve through 186 wooded acres and connect academic and student-life buildings on a central green. No shuttle buses needed here: All of college’s daily stops are a short stroll away.
Ask your son or daughter if they’re able to walk across campus without a nod from a familiar face or an impromptu chat with a close friend—it won’t happen! Outside Drew’s gates, quiet neighborhoods of single-family homes surround the campus, while the small main-street town of Madison is only a few blocks down the avenue. Our piece of New Jersey is a destination full of historic towns, sophisticated cities and major corporate centers. With three international airports within an hour’s drive, the world (or a visit from mom and dad) is at the doorstep.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, which performs in Drew’s exquisite concert hall three times a year.
All this accessibility adds up to the kind of opportunity—internships, research positions, travel study, cultural events and more—that beautifully complements a liberal arts education. Drew has perfected the art of melding experiential learning with rigorous academics: There’s no better preparation for these complex—and competitive— times. Today, making connections among disparate fields, ideas and cultures is critical to success. A liberal arts education from Drew University prepares competent young adults, secure in their ability to think deeply and act wisely.
Whether visiting for a tour or picking up your child for winter break, take advantage of all Drew’s campus has to offer: the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (right), the Drew Forum, where world leaders, history makers and opinion shapers—like Colin Powell and Bob Woodward—lead public lectures; and the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, one of the nation’s leading theatre companies, with professional offerings from May to December.
Each fall Drew hosts Family Weekend, where parents, siblings and other family members are invited to join their Drewid on campus for a weekend packed with activities like open classes, art exhibitions, theatrical productions—on campus and on Broadway—and sporting events. You can even hang in the Commons for a meal and get a taste of student life at Drew.

"As a Drew professor, I can say that the faculty takes its responsibility to teach and to challenge very seriously. And as a Drew parent, it’s reassuring to know that my child is getting a great education in a supportive community that respects and cares for her."

"Drew has such a collection of unique minds and big personalities. The students are dedicated, and the professors are accessible. I even directed a play written by a professor with whom I’d also been cast in The Tempest."
