The primary purpose of Gaming Club will be to provide a common social organization for those interested in game design, leisure gaming and gaming culture, whether newcomers or longtime enthusiasts. The term “gaming,” defined loosely, is the state of creative problem solving engaged in immersive, obstacle oriented play, as in that offered by a diverse variety of interactive entertainment media. Gaming Club will seek to incorporate appreciation of a multitude of game forms, such as the traditional board game, paper and dice RPG (role playing game), collectible card game, and electronic video game, all of which encompass both recreational and competitive aspects. Through promotional events and periodic tournaments, Gaming Club will encourage a greater understanding and appreciation of game related phenomena.
