About Publications Requests

Please plan ahead. Our office must have at least 4-6 weeks to complete a project. Spell check all copies. Submit text on a disk or e-mail to: jbowman@drew.edu and mkiernan@drew.edu. Provide a hard copy of text for all new jobs. Mark file names on hard copy. We will make every effort to produce your publication on the date you ask. Please note that we request a minimum turnaround of four weeks from the time we receive proofread copy, for smaller jobs, and four to six weeks for larger jobs.

Printers request 2 weeks for printing. Editor requires at least 2 days to proof text.

New Design Projects

New design projects should be discussed with Margaret Kiernan at x3236. Call for an appointment.

Starting a Job

Complete a publications request form for each publication prior to initiating your project and submit it to Jane Bowman by e-mail, fax or bring it in when you initiate your job. (All information must be completed in order to start a job).

Requesting Digital Files

If you need text or graphic files from any publication that we are producing, you must request them at the time you initiate your job. Indicate the text or art you are requesting, specify how you need the image or text files saved, and indicate the software program your files needs to be saved as.

Software options: Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Word Perfect, Microsoft Word. Files options: PDF, ASCI, JPEG, EPS, TIFF.
