Media Policy
Drew is an open campus and the media is welcome. We do appreciate a phone call or email to our media relations office at (973) 408-3206 in advance of a press visit. We ask reporters and photographers, and other members of the media not to enter academic buildings or student residence halls without permission of the media relations office, or without a university representative accompanying them. They are welcome to be in public buildings and on the campus without escort.
Drew spokespersons are required by law to honor the tenets of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended, when answering questions about students or when providing information about students, including the results of campus disciplinary actions. We prefer that the press not contact students directly. Instead the press should contact Drew’s communications office at (973) 408-3817 for assistance.
