An independent investigation of a topic selected in conference with the instructor and approved by the department. Admission by petition to or upon invitation of a department. May be repeated for credit with a different department or in the same department with departmental approval. Registration for this course applies only if a department does not offer a departmental course in independent study. Projects not directly within the discipline of the instructor's department must receive approval from the Dean's Council. Amount of credit established at time of registration.
