COVID-19 Wednesday Update for Faculty and Staff

COVID-19 Wednesday Update for Faculty and Staff

The university sends updates to our faculty and staff every Wednesday during Drew Virtual Time. These messages will be sent via email and will be posted at the COVID-19 resource site. Please remember to check that site often for the most up-to-date information throughout DVT. And keep reading your Drew Today, as you would in normal time, to take advantage of all of Drew’s virtual programming—and add your event announcements too! (As a reminder: only emergencies will be communicated via the Drew University Emergency Notification System.)

Have feedback or a question? Email dvt@drew.edu. We’ll follow up and may share the info that emerged from your comment or question in next week’s update.

Changemaker of the Week

Each week, we will honor a Drew faculty or staff member who is making a difference during DVT. This individual is someone who is moving us forward institutionally in the new DVT environment: perhaps they've offered new opportunities for faculty and/or staff, provided an educational moment, or somehow made work better for others.

Week of March 25: Frank Merckx
Since January, Frank has been leading the charge to ensure Drew is compliant with federal, state and local orders related to COVID-19. He has guided other New Jersey colleges and universities with their planning and coordinated efforts among these schools. Amazingly, he’s managed all of this while retaining his sense of humor! Thank you, Frank.

We will announce our next Changemaker of the Week on April 1, so be sure to nominate a colleague!
